The moderate walk derives its name from the famous South Armagh Poets, Art McCumhaigh, Patrick MacAliondain and Seamus Mor MacMurphy. It passes through Creggan Churchyard, O’Neill Burial Vault and Roches Castle.

Start the walk at Creggan Parih Church and continue along the Glassdrummond Road for approximately 3 miles and take the first right past Glassdrummond Lake on the Leeter Road.

After 1/2 mile, take the first left turn onto Mounthill Road then continue for approximately 1 1/4 mile, with views of Roches Castle.

Turn left at the Crossroads and continue for approximately 3/4 mile before turning left. Continue for 3/4 mile and veer right entering Ballsmill Village.

Passing through the Village continue for approximately 1 mile and take the first left onto Cortreasla Road. Continue and after 1 mile turn right onto Lurgan Road and continue for 1 1/4 miles turning left at Murrays Road.

Contine for 1/2 mile taking the first right onto Cregganbane Road, turning left at the junction forllowing the way markers.

At the bottom of the road, turn right back to Creggan Church.

HOW TO GET THERE
Follow signs from Newry to Camlough then onto Crossmaglen.
Continue towards Crossmaglen until you reach a sign for Creggan.
Turn left and continue for approximately 250 yards until you reach Creggan Parish Churchyard.
