This moderate walk derives it name from the famous South Armagh Poets, Art McCumhaigh, Patrick MacAliondain and Seamus Mor MacMurphy. This walk offers stunning views of Slieve Gullion Mountain and covers a distance of 6 miles taking approximately 3 hours to complete.

This walk starts at the Welcome Inn at Forkhill. Turn left up Main Street and take the first turn to the right.

Continue for 1 mile along this track wich was the old funeral path to Urney Graveyard. At the end of the lane turn right and continue straight through the crossroads. Continue for approximately 1 mile to the junction and turn left on to Carrive Road. After approximately 200 yards turn right.

Continue for approximately 2 miles along Glendesha Road which provides magnificent views of Slieve Gullion Mountain. At the end of Glendesha Road turn right on to Upper Road and continue for approximetly 1/2 mile and turn right onto Church Road.

Continue along this raod to Forkhill Church of Ireland and carry along the road back to Forkhill Village.

HOW TO GET THERE

Follow signs from Newry to Dundalk.
At the first Roundabout take the second exit for Forkhill.
At Forkhill, turn left over the bridge and park along Main Street.
