Well known for the hatches of sedge and buzzer which trout thrive on.

Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout and Perch with fishing season running from 1st March - 31st October. Fly fishing is the only method permitted on this lake and a bag limit of 6 trout is strictly imposed.

Fishery Conservancy Board Licence or Game Rod Licence required.

Car parking is available at the lakeside.

From Armagh take the A28 Newry Road, leave the main Newry Road at Markethill and take the B134 Glenanne Road through Mowhan Village. Shaw's Lake is on the right 5 miles out of Mowhan.
