Brown and Rainbow Trout with a season running from 1st March - 31st October. Fly fishing is the only method permitted and a bag limit of 6 trout is imposed.
Fishery Conservancy Board Licence and
The lake is stocked 2-3 times annually with Trout only. Season from 1st March to 31st October. Methods of fishing are fly-fishing and worm, no spinning or netting. Bag lime of 2 fish per day. Rod Licence required.
From Mullaghbane turn right
The fishable section of this old Ship Canal runs from Newry to the Sea Locks on the Omeath Road, which is approximately 3.5 miles.
Bream, Rudd, Pike, Pearch, Eel and Trout. Season runs all year round. All legal methods of fishing are permitted.
